Established in 1982, Rotating Machinery Supplies Ltd (RMS) is an independent privately owned Company specialising in the supply of electric motors, ventilation equipment, gearboxes, worm drives, water pumps and variable speed drives.
The Company is partner to a buying/marketing association, The Combined Electrical Group (CEG). This association provides several commercial advantages for its partner members. High volume purchasing and regular shipments ex offshore manufacturers, better pricing and superior inventory control mean ex stock deliveries, shorter indent deliveries and very competitive pricing structures. Our Company is market driven. Our independence and private ownership means responses to market changes and changing customer needs are made quickly and easily. Product distributed by our Company is manufactured to our CEG specification and marketed under the CEG registered trademark.
The Company is based in Frankton, Hamilton and carries a comprehensive inventory. Cast iron metric frame 400v electric motors in both F and H class from .37kw to 250kw in 2 and 4 pole with 6 pole to 75kw and 8 pole to 7.5kw. Aluminium metric frame 400v motors are carried from .09Kw to 9.3Kw in all speeds. All standard mounting options are available. Single phase rolled steel imperial frame motors are stocked along with metric frame permanent capacitor and cap start/run motors. Radial or pad mount fan motors, a range of refrigeration fan motors, brakemotors and low center height saw arbour motors are also carried in stock. Our Company can modify stock motors or arrange delivery ex factory of special motors to meet specific customer needs.
The Company imports CEG electric motors. Hydromec gearboxes, Eric variable speed drives and ac/dc inverters, start and run capacitors and holds sales agencies for Saer water pumps and a full range of ventilation equipment encompassing axial flow fans, blowers, mancoolers, oscillating pedestal and wall fans heat transfer and dehumidifying systems, external rotor fans, and roof extract units. The Company manufactures its own range of vertical discharge and low profile roof extract units, wall and roof mount filtered air supply systems, in line air filters and a range of autotransformer fan speed controllers.
The Company offers assistance in ventilation design and fan selection and has the ability to project manage the installation of new systems and has successfully completed several large fresh air supply turnkey projects.
